Covid-19 related gifts from Japan



   Amabie, a sort of monster that appeared in Japan in 1846 and predicted outbreaks of disease. It asked the witness to draw him and make the image known to the people to fight the disease. With the arrival of Covid-19, Amabie has become popular again, and here it is on a New Year's Day card.


Mask given by a kind friend from Japan - 'greige' seems to be a portmanteau for 'Grey + Beige'

 Poor Rusty died today of heart failure. He was always a small cat but brave. He would chase away dogs and ducks. He used to flick his tail up and down when he wanted to go for a walk with me.
