Parc historique Gagnon Historical Park

Gagnon is a small village near Ottawa that started in the 1880s from two sawmills along the CN railway line.   It became kind of a ghost town when the cheese factory closed in the 1940s and gradually the village dwindled in population - this park was set up in 2001 to commemorate the village.

Little library by a nice bench.

125 cm saw blade from the Shaver mill that was one of the founding industries of the village.

Pétanque court. Pétanque is a bowling game that was first played by immigrants from the south of France in the 1950s in Quebec City and Montreal.

Exposed timbers of the 1880 Pommainville Heritage House, which was moved to the village, showing the marks made by a broad axe.
