This is a pdf of a self-published book by Mabel MacLean. It gives a history of Salem Church and the Summerstown area. The first minister was John Bethune, a loyalist originally from the Isle of Skye who was a chaplain with a loyalist regiment in South Carolina, and came to Canada after being a prisoner of war during the American revolution.
