Not exactly mayonnaise with fries.

Happy Belgian National Day on July 21! Belgian fries with a little flag in the Sauce andalouse. Not mayonnaise, despite what the movies say! The lady making them said andalouse was the most typical sauce. Sauce andalouse has mayonnaise but also peppers and tomatoes. Serve in a cardboard inverted pyramid with a little pocket for the sauce, so you dip them. At Ferme Brasserie Schoune, 2075 Ch. Sainte-Catherine, Saint-Polycarpe, QC

Liège style waffle with Biscoff cookie flavoured ice cream, which she said was the most typical Belgian topping. McDonald's is also doing Biscoff flavoured McFlurries this month.

Myrtille du Nord, blueberry flavoured beer - quite nice. Not sweet but sour. Myrtille is European French for blueberry. In Canada it's 'bleuet', and it is also a popular name for people from the Saguenay region of Quebec, where they grow a lot of blueberries.

“Today the USA is the ‘hottest’ and most respected Country anywhere in the World,” he added. “Happy Anniversary!!!” - Donald Trump, Truth Social, July 20, 2025
