Snake Temple, Penang

Fall, 1998 - I didn't think the snake was real and was thinking of touching it - then a curator poked it for me with a pen and it moved! It didn't have the mark on its head to show it had been devenomized, so it could have been able to fatally bite someone!

Burmese Temple Guardians of Earth

Fall, 1998 - These are Panca-Rupa ( Guardian Protectors ) at the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple in Penang, Malaysia - a composite of five creatures - I think you could drop coins into the globe. Temple was completely deserted when I went there - I'm glad it was there because I didn't want to go to Burma as it was a military dictatorship.
