Saw Jane Siberry at the SAW gallery in Ottawa. She was a waitress at the old Baker Street Bistro in Guelph (The one that closed around 1981 - not the new one) and used the money she made there for her first album.
We talked about our friend Goldie Sherman, a potter, dancer and artist who still lives in Guelph, and she asked me what I'd been doing since 1981. Not thinking very well I said writing about murders and talked to her about Albert Walker . She said she might have heard of him before this. Walker, a conman and murderer, did have offices in Southwest Ontario - when I was working on the story he seemed to have had one in Guelph.
