Signs of fall - snapping turtle crossing road

 

Traffic stops on old Highway 2 near Glen Walter as drivers use a shovel to help a snapping turtle cross the road. The turtle is looking for a place to hibernate for the winter. Tortue serpentine  (Chelydra serpentina)
